Ceandess ltd Wolverhampton is engraved on it, which is a British make. I have been researching this gas cap for quite sometime and cannot find anything like it. I've asked a couple car shops and they guesstimated (1940s) In my opinion I believe it to be a motorcycle or boat gas cap, because it is a bolted on and not screwed in. Please help!!

These are pozidriv screws. If they're original, it's more likely from the 60-70's and on. The pozidriv was invented late 50's. Some of the british high-end cars lotus, healey had these type of caps so could be from a car as well. That British racing green color gives it away somehow. Just a guess of course but I wouldn't rule out a british sports car 60-70's.
