Picked up this old heater and I'm just wondering what time frame it was made in, the front has a name plate with "brilliant" engraved on it and the back has a brass model # (I think) with No. 251 L. I've scoured the internet but can't seem to find any info on it so help would be greatly appreciated!
I have this exact design and this page is the only place I could find even a picture of another one. The number on the back of mine I believe reads No. 252 M

We used these ice fishing in the 50's but they were made well before that. Getting a date for it shouldn't be to difficult. Some of Perfection's early lines were called lamp heaters because they used the same wick as a lamp. As time went on the wick was changed and a flame spreader added. There used to be archives for the company online.
