This is a small non-working glass fluted seltzer bottle. It measures 6.5 inches tall, contains an attached glass syphon stem and was purchased at an estate sale in New England. The glass base is quite thick. We were told it was a salesman sample for a brand of seltzer in the early 1900's. We have since contacted several authorities in early bottles. They were all kind enough to respond, but they are stumped. We hope you can give us some information regarding this piece. Thanks so much.
stunning!!
I have a 12 inch soda and mineral water bottle with it appears the same spigot. The bottle is very thick probably to hold the pressure, and is also engraved with the bottling company from Minnesota. Supplier probably sold the bottles and spigot to bottlers all over the country. My bottle also has an old paper label. Think you are correct on early 1900's.
