Grandma's Chair

this chair sat in my grandparent's bedroom when I was a child. I loved it because it sat so low and my legs didn't dangle.

I got it after her death and am hoping to restore it to some state of usefulness again.

I'm wondering if this style of chair has a name, and if there are any others like it. I would love to see other's ideas on remaking the look of this chair.
