This series of Molniya is a special edition for Russian Railways since 1960. I really like the clean design of this pocket watch, as it has neither a redundant line!

I find it odd that the winged wheel is identical to the German symbol, at least from the 30's thru 40's. Is that a standard RR symbol thru Europe & Russia?

To Germany, Russia and Bulgaria it is the symbol of railway and transport troops. In Bulgaria this symbol is used before the Second World War, it was probably modeled on Germany. I think that in Russia the symbol is similar to the period before the Second World War. See my next post!
