I just had to post these lanterns. Pretty proud of them.
The Arc Lantern, originally manufactured in 1914, was Coleman’s first lantern. Unlike the company’s lamps, the portable lantern was designed for outdoor use. It could be hung from a post or pole and carried from chore to chore.
FACTORY FRESH, SEARS AND ROEBUCK, COLEMAN LANTERN FROM 1968 MIB. THIS IS A SINGLE MANTLE AND HAS A PYREX GLASS GLOBE.
Really not much has changed in 50 or so years.
Just saw the Antiques Roadshow. They appraised an Arc Lantern at $2000.00-$3000.00 in 2009. Not in this economy!
