Six feet long Steam Launch "AMAZON." Coal fired. (And optional gas). Stuart Turner Compound Twin steam engine. Cheddar (Stuart Turner) Mendip Water Tube boiler. Stuart Turner steam driven feed water pump. Manual feed water pump.
Hull of wood and resin. Honduras Mahogany wood work.
This launch is coal fired with a gas option. It is perfectly poised to steam with the feed water pump matching the output of water converted to steam. The boiler is a marvel of efficiency and a fully prepared coal firebox will allow a good 1/4 of an hour between stoking. As long as the water reservoir is topped up - about 15 second to re-fill and the engine and steam feed water pump lubricator and lubrication attended to it can remain on the water all day
It is fast and beautiful. Coal used is anthracite peas.
