This is another of my grandfathers old fishing lures that has since become mine. I've never used it but I'm certain it's seen its share of Oklahoma and Texas lakes. I'm curious about its age and rarity.. I just wish I had the box for this one. Thanks for everyones help!

Your lure was manufactured by the Fred Arbogast company of Akron Ohio somewhere in the 1960's. It's the 3/8oz version, and the color is "Frog". It is one of the standard colors produced for the lifetime of the bait. Fred Arbogast began producing the first Jitterbugs in 1938 out of wood (yours is plastic), and they are currently produced under the Arbogast name (but produced by Pradco, visit them online at http://lurenet.com).

It's definitely one of the best top-water baits ever produced. Collector value is minimal. $5-10. Rare colors can fetch from anywhere to $100-$1000.

      Hope this helps!
