Art Deco Band Screen (?)

I believe that this is an art deco band screen. I have seen this type of screen in front of band members in old photos. Can anyone verify this or tell me what it is called? I love the graphics. It had runs of white paint on the front that I managed to remove. It has some losses but it just adds to the character.
