My local town historical society is hosting a lecture about the history of train transportation (the Erie Railroad) through my home town. As a lead up to the lecture the society wanted a month long display in our local library. I was asked by the society if I would consider doing a display. I was happy and honored to oblige. I enjoy collecting but I also enjoy sharing, through this forum. displays and other methods, too. What good is knowledge if it isn't shared? If you are able, consider doing a community display or other event. It will make you feel good, and if one person goes away knowing something that they didn't know before then I consider myself as doing a job well done.

Valentino97--Thanks for the nice comments. I, too, always try to stop at local museums and historical societies. I have been an excursion / museum volunteer for over 30 years. I have never regretted any of it. Happy exploring.
