Interesting combination of pressed-steel truck parts:
1) rear portion of chassis and box - Nylint emergency wrecker.
2) front portion of chassis and cab - Marx Allstate narrow cab.
3) rear dual-boom wrecker assembly - Mighty Tonka tow truck.
It was a monumental undertaking to cut the dual-boom wrecker assembly from the rear chassis of the Mighty Tonka tow truck, but I thought if I could mate it to the Nylint emergency wrecker rear box it would be a good pairing. I think it works well.
I've always sort of liked the Marx Allstate truck cab, but the original Marx Allstate wrecker leaves a lot to be desired. It's kinda ill-proportioned and awkward-looking. I think this cab works well, and amazingly the front clip of the Allstate truck mated very naturally with the Nylint chassis rear. It's actually very amazing how well portions of various manufacturer's pressed-steel toy trucks mate-up together in the customization process.
The nifty graphics - some store-bought and others custom-made, really make the big wrecker 'pop!' I hope you like it as much as I do! James
Thank you so much. I like it too!
