Vintage pretty butterfly brooch from Grandma's boxes - no mark

It's colorful and I like it although it is very very thin/lightweight.

Unsure if that means anything but once again, no mark found. Just something to look at and enjoy which is nice. However, my new friends on here have gotten me bitten with the 'I must solve mystery bug"....lol

You have all been so great & awesome with your comments and support! I've remarked that I've gotten great joy out of going through my mother's and grandmother's things..but on some days it hits me hard that Mom is gone...and had to go in such a cruel way and I'm wishing that I had asked her about 'this or that piece). :( :(

My best friend of 20 yrs, who passed from a brain tumor 2 yrs before Mom, admonished me about getting history of jewelry before my Mom went downhill. My BF was totally right but I never expected caring for her to lapse directly into becoming Mom's caregiver.

I'm using this site to build info as a legacy for my daughters so when they inherit pieces I've documented or ones I own myself that I'd love to share with you...or if collecting bug bites and I start stalking estate/garage sales...they can have as much of the stories as we can puzzle out.
