    Greetings all, please help me identify this desk by identify the style and the era of it. I am in the process of making a trade and my friend wants a bundle. He claims that the desk is the real deal, it's an original. I really like it and would like to keep it for a good while. I can provide more pictures if it's necessary. Any help will be appreciated

      Sorry to say the figure in pic 4 has nothing French :-/
      Quality and details of the veneer inlays also aren't good enough for an antique (if this is understated by saying "original").

      Your friend has here a decorator piece, surely made in an exotic country (the figure in last pic does look Asian!).
