A rare Grether lantern with a cast aluminum body patented August 21, 1917. This is a very early example with the two brass plates on the top and the original push/pull switch on the front. With the batteries inside the lantern weighs over five pounds. The only thing missing is the leather carrying strap. Does anyone have any further information on these lanterns?
