I am on holiday in Wales this week and I picked up this cup and saucer in Caernafon, thinking it was Chinese, as it had a real bluish tinge to it, but appropriately it looks like it's Gaudy Welsh flow blue, with copper lustre finish, in the Cartwheel Pattern. As you can see it has been very crudely made, and painted, and the cup has 3 cracks, but it's interesting! Gaudy Welsh was first made by the staffordshire potteries in 1820, but some of the welsh potteries soon caught on and started making them too. Not sure of the date of this, but it could be quite early.

Gorgeous antique cup & saucer, that cartwheel pattern is so lovely in the two tone blue

I have the same saucer unmarked. I always loved it, though even now I do admit that it is quite gaudy. LOL.
