I work on clocks and a friend of mine brought in her Majestic grandmother clock. The clock works are electric and there is a tube type radio built in just below the clock. I have never seen one like it and would appreciate any information I could get on it. If anyone could give me an approximate value on the clock I would really appreciate it. It is in great shape. Thanks
Go to allexpert clock and watches.com they are some experts there that could help
beautiful piece...I'm also on the lookout for who made my clock radio. I figured out the clock but the radio is still a mystery. The radio needs a rebuild and a speaker. The clock works perfect.
Now this is a clock radio ... ;0
The radio is made by Grigsby Grunow and is called the Sherwood. The chassis is a model 15 from 1931. http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/grigsby_gr_sherwood.html
As for the value, that depends on who you can find that wants to buy it. I've seen them go for as much as $1,000.00 and for as little as $50.00.
I am looking for 2 replacement finials that are missing from my clock.
Thank you
My Grandfather worked for Al Grunow. I have one of the radios. They are beautiful. In trying to find out who designed this one.
