1930 QRS-DeVry 16mm home movie projector

Seeking to diversify their player piano roll business in the mid 1920s, the QRS Music Company first ventured into radio, marketing tubes and speakers, before changing direction and entering the home movie market in 1928. A merger with the DeVry Camera Corporation in 1929 solidified this move, and this hand-cranked 16 mm home movie projector from 1930 was one of their products. The music roll division was spun off in 1931 and survives to this day, the camera business evolved into DeVry technical schools.
