Never seen anything like this before, I would guess the owner performed - maybe even a street performer as this case is covered in thick glossy lucite - meant to reflect light and capture one's attention. Vintage Psychedelic Hippie Folk Art "Glittery" Flower Power on an old Wooden Banjo Case with a huge hand painted / decorated orange flower with a red center. Sides are decorated with green and orange leaves. Colors and design scream they are from the era, but the history has been lost to time.
