I believe that these are hand forged scissors. Please direct your attention to the handle and the brad or rivet holding the blades together. The number 8 I believe is the size of the scissor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I think the could be for cutting cloth??

We used to have something similar that was a lot bigger than scissors, and was called hedge clippers. (As in our lilac and carragana trees).

The hedgeclippers were shaped a lot differently. What size are they ??

These are size 8. I’m asking if someone may recognize the name, style or vintage?
