    It has #425 scratched in back on base. It's 20" tall and 10" wide at base. It seems to be a kind of ceramic painted bronze. The globe is green with lines in it. My 82 yr old step-dad remembers this in his Mom's home when he was young.It was a lamp, but the wires have been cut. I wouldn't try to rewire because the socket seems to be embedded in the ceramic. makes a pretty decorator piece anyway. Thanks for any help.

      It is chalkware. During the depression, they made many of the figural lamps out of plaster instead of metal.
