I brought this Skelly sign home from our trip to Texas this Fall but can't be exactly sure who I got it from? Old age isn't helping me at all these days! The sign looks great on the pole and fits in perfectly with the Premier signs in the same row. Skelly never made it to Utah until we stood a couple of Signs up in the Lakeside Storage free Museum.
The original Skelly began in 1919 and was headquartered in Tulsa but in the early 30s Skelly lost control to J.P.Getty and then lost further control during the depression. Tidewater eventually bought them out and that was the end for Skelly. Big fish eat smaller big fish! Watch your back if you're a fish!

      RoyCroftBooksfromme1,
Good question? I have no idea who holds the record but we're over 170 and stand new ones every week. I'll slow down at 200 on poles. I'll be broke! Re old wells: we have several around the place. I just haven't ever posted them. Same with lots of other antiques. I'm focused on signs. Can u tell?
