First, Mantle and Dimaggio on this 1961 cover, then Yogi himself from 1958 cover, and
Jim Lonborg from 1968. When a young kid, ages ago, my Dad brought me to the local
ball park where we saw the Senators, and Yankees play, and I saw Mantle hit a home run out.
It was an honor. We saw other times, Ted Williams, and Harmon Killebrew hit ones
    out also.

Nice mags with some class players from the good old days. I love Yogi and his "Yogi-isms", a truly hilarious individual. They had some streakers at a game one time. Afterwards they asked Yogi , since he had a better view on the field, if they were male or female. Yogi replied; "I couldn't tell, they were wearing masks."

Fantastic vintage baseball mags, you are a lucky fella to see Mantle hit a homer, thanks for sharing the memory

      Thank you, Toyrebel, and Newfld!
Baseball was great then, and it is still great today.
In the 2017 season my daughter and I went to see a local game in DC,
and we sat in the bleachers for the first time ever. If it had been mid-Summer
then we would have been bleached too!
