    I really love this piece. It stands 11 in tall. Someone suggested it's a pokal with a missing lid. But I don't see wear marks around the top so perhaps it lost its lid early on in life or it never had one. It stands an impressive 11 in. tall. I'm wondering who the maker and the date of manufactur is.

      Honi soit qui mal y pense is a French phrase used as the motto of the British chivalric Order of the Garter. It is translated as "May he be shamed who thinks badly of it". It could be connected to some Royal society or military too. I think those words were on my Dad's Badge, and he was in the Army (Royal Engineer).

      Yeah. I made it that far in my research. But a lot of these armorial vases were more decorative. It needs more research.
