Hey everyone! Hope everyone has been well since our last chat! So I am trying to identify and date this wonderful little trinket pill box tin. I am clueless on the hallmarking. I am thinking German, but they don't look like the proper Hallmarks for Germany. I am thinking it's 800's silver with the Gold Gilt interior finish. It measures 2.25" x 1.75" x .5" in depth. It weighs 30.6 grams. If anyone recognizes the hallmarking, can help me identify age, and perhaps it's function or initial use, that would be very helpful and appreciated. Thank you so much for your time.

Nice! That "84" is a Russian standard =.875 So Russia 1839 is my guess, with the maker's mark in italic stamp and the city mark to the right. Maybe made to celebrate 1840, which would be that king's centennial jubilee.

      ...a snuff box, most likely.
