I would like to know if anyone has seen a camera similar to this one. It appears to be a Fallowfield Faciule but the plate advance is at the rear rather than the side. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Oh my … this is a twist on the Facile. I've never seen this variation and cannot find references to match it. What's also interesting is the brass binding. As a comparison for folks looking at this post, here is my Facile: https://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/1274-fallowfields-facile-an-1890s-conceal Notice the plate advance knob is on the side of the body. I'll keep poking around in my references.

Thank you for your insight and research. I searched McKeown’s and nothing but a comment on the Fallowfield Facile that the company distributed cameras but did not, in fact, manufacture them. To me, the plate advance in the back makes more sense for disguise than at the side. Yes, the brass corners are all wrong based on other facile makes.
