    These two containers look to have been used as incense burners but I’m wondering if their purpose is for something else. They are solid brass and about 1 1/2 in deep and 5 in across. Do you think they are simply incense burners?

      @dave2no1 that's interesting. It didn't occur to me these might not be meant to go together with the bases. One does not quite fit well any way. Thanks for the input.

      Reminds me of our old silver coffee perculator and some did have top parts like this.
