Last Sunday I went into a shop here in Sydney, Australia and bought two pieces of glass (not Welz), and saw some pieces that were interesting and took some pix. WELZEBUB and I had been talking over another issue and I wanted him to see the pix for his comments. He kindly told me that two vases amongst them were unusual pieces of Welz. I had already broken the bank on the other two pieces and needed permission from my partner to break open the piggy bank. Fortunately caught him at the right time. Craig convinced me that they needed a new home. So I went back on Wednesday and bought them … not cheaply but at a price that was less than half of the ticketed price. So here they are : an unmarked harlequin pair - the length of the pulls is not identical. The colour of these pulls is pretty vibrant ... fortunately there are a lot of other orange pieces in my lounge room and I am not averse to engraved glass.

Many thanks DAV2 'n DEJAVU2 too !!! !!! !!!
Many thanks BHIFOS !!!!
You gotta do what you gotta do
I find these Welz pieces really interesting and uncommon. I particularly like them when they have multicoloured pulls, but have never seen any 'in the flesh'. Thanks for posting.
Now we're all waiting for the other two glass items...
Congrats on KNOWING that you were seeing the exceptional.
Believe me SKLO it was CRAIG who saw the exceptional …. I am lucky to have his help. Thanks too to KAREN & WOW for their comments too and for the loves VCAL, DEANO, NEWFLD, MIKELV, FALCON, IRONLACE, YVONNE & LARKSEL !!!!!
Will be back soon with the ‘other two’, WOW !!!
Many thanks FORTAPACHE !!!!
These are amongst the most exciting pieces of new Welz I have seen in a while. They are fabulous, and brings the total of this style of engraved examples (pulls with engraved daisies) I have seen in 15 years, to 7 pieces on 5 different shapes. This decor is among the most difficult to find.
I think it is also worth mentioning that the engraving was most probably done by Welz, who Truitt noted in Truitt 1, employed their own engravers.
Many thanks FORTAPACHE, LEELANI & to WELZEBUB for his great comments !!!
Many thanks WATCHSEARCHER !!!!!

Hi, KIVATINITZ. Pix is an abbreviation of pictures… it was the name of a naughty pictorial magazine here in Australia in the post war years. Many thanks for your comment and the the loves ….. thanks too to CISUM & VYNIL !!!!!
