I purchased this set of what I believe are mantle vases about 8 months ago as i just liked the overall look of them. They were advertised as candle holders.
I do not know any history of them, nor do I know what they truly are, where they are from, the maker or where they were possibly made or even the true age even in an approximate. I was told they were victorian era when I purchased them.
They are both very close to the same height and width on the vase portion but the base is a bit different in size as are other specific areas of the vases.
The vase on the left is weighed at 3 pounds even and is 14 1/4" tall, base is 4 1/8" and stem is 5" with the "bowl" being 9" tall and the bowl is 6 1/2" across. The base and stem are clear blown glass with the bowl being a beautiful light blue with a white striping. They do not seem to be opalescent glass nor do the glow in a black light treatment.
The second vase is 2 pounds 5 ounces and stands 14 5/8" tall, base is 4 1/8" ( not perfectly round ) stem is 4 3/4" and the "bowl" being 9 1/8" and the bowl being 6 1/2" across .

The second vase is thinner glass on the bottom base than the first as is the stem being thinner and longer appearing. When set at opposite ends of the mantle the appear to be exact matches but when together they are obviously different in slight but apparent ways.

There are tiny seed bubbles found in the glass as well with both having smooth twisted off pontil's. The edge ruffles appear to be fairly uniform in shape and size. There are visual "rings apparent in the glass as it was blown into shape and also there are NO mould lines found and is apparent that they are each made individually and also by hand rather than by mould or machine.
Both are in exceptionally good condition with NO damage what-so ever.
The white lines are in the glass and are not painted or enameled on.
I am looking for any information I can get on them as in maker, where made, true names, country of origin, age and even approximate value of the set. PLEASE I NEED HELP as I do not know where to go for any answers to my questions.
