American Indian Deer Painting by L(J?).S. Listoro

Please forgive the reflections on the photo, I don't know how to photograph well!! This was given to me by my Godfather who is an Art Collector, when I was very young.. I just loved it's simplicity and grace, but I would love to know which tribe this is from, and again the symbolism, and other works by Listero. Can anyone help me with this sweet little painting?
