The only thing I'm able to find on this helmet is a marking that states '1942'. I'm wondering if it's from World War II.

Yes. I think that could be a British Tommy Hat.

Looks to me like WW I.
But it says 1942 on it.
I have looked up the British Tommy Hat and it looks just like it.. what do you think the value of this might be.
I have seen WWII helmets go for anywhere from $20-200. Try to get a british buyer lol

Anytime, I have found this site to be addicting.
I just think to myself, "If this helmet could talk"! Unbeleiveable! Imagine what and where this helmet has seen and been. Lilly
