    These are a few of the lovely images come from the 1906-1907 edition of the Girls own Annual.
    Much is made in regards to the publishing/advertising industry currently portraying women with body types that don't match the general population & the effect this has on body image.
    It would appear that this is not a current trend.

      Very nice David . I am glad I can wear baggie dress's and NO corset lol those poor women suffered in those clothes .

      Yes, indeed, Manikin. And to think that these poor women couldn't even dress themselves! Someone had to assist them to lace these contraptions.

      Thanks for the love Hunter, at least they weren't bombarded with 101 tips on how to lose weight, all they had to do was get someone to cinch them into a corset.
