Yet another ugly doll for the collection. Seller claimed she was an early 1900's composition doll. It appears to be a crier. Anyone have any clue who she is?

See, I thought the same thing! My husband deemed her ugly though. =( The seller wanted whoever bought her to restore her. Um...no. She's perfect how she is.

Possibly a wax over doll toddler Painted eye ? Her peeling is very think and normally the paint is not that thick . I am thinking she is a wax over or covered in a rubber type material over face which maybe paper mache . Hard to tell without holding her . But she is special and glad you save all these little treasures :-)))))

Ok, got the doll today in the post. Her head appears to be wood, and yes Manikin, I believe she's a wax over. She's so sweet looking. Already got a special place for her. =)
