    My grandfather passed away in 1994, he gave me his collection before he passed. I recently started to inquire about the hisory of his items. The plate on the front reads "Geo. B.Carpenter & Co. ship chandler Chicago"

      Thank you AR8Jason. No, there are no other markings. I was hoping I could find a similar model to offer some range, but I find several other types, just not this one.
