An early marriage chest from continental Europe - 1750~70? Height:730mm, Length:1450mm, Width:700 - it has a hidden compartment, 145mm long key (still works perfect), its made from solid oak planks with hand made wrought iron decorative strapping. The inside of the lid has wrought iron strapping with heart designs.
Drool -- that is an awesome chest. I love everything about it! Great find.
