my friend just finished fixing up this old ford,but you aren't allowed to breath on it and he only cleans it with a new handkerchief.

yep I can relate to that, but getting them dirty is so much more fun, :-)
When I was in Jr High, my father bought and fixed up an original Model T. We would ride it in parades, back when they had those. it's how learned all about the spark and mag! And also crankin the thing when it died.
