      I could be way off base, but based on the hardware I would guess that it is someting home made from the teen's o twenties.

      this also, due to its size, looks as if it may have come from an early century vampire slayer kit. Crossbows this size were standard in the kits. I have no idea on value but I bet Pawn Stars would!! Cool item though!!
