I just got this pedal tractor today and thought it would go great with my other pedal tractor! This pedal tractor is in better condition, only issue I can see is the rear wheels I think are missing their hubcaps. Look at the engine in picture 3 and 4 I thought this was the coolest part to the tractor. Its battery operated and the yellow valves on both sides move up and down when you turn it on. theres also a small fan blade on the front of the engine that rotates when the engines on. My other tractor just has a plain plastic motor doesnt do anything so had me wondering which tractor is older?
I was doing some research and found out AMF was founded as American Machine and Foundry in 1900. Their heyday was in the 60s and 70s. They made bicycles, pedal cars/ tractors, a whole line of sporting goods, and also lawn tractors. AMF even owned Harley-Davidson during the 70s!
I'm thinking both pedal tractors are from the 1960's the green one possibly from early 60's and the orange one from the late 60's. I'm not 100% sure tho as you can see in the background of the pictures I collect Coca-Cola, but just had to have these tractors. I'm not selling these any time soon just was hoping to get more info on them.

I show the green one in an AMF ad dated 1969.
You have a very nice one there.
I still think the other with the blow mold type tires would be newer, in the 70's
Thanks Az Tom, and thanks trukn20 & ozmarty.
