at the Fillmore. I would love to have been at this concert! Howling Wolf and BB and the Holding Co?! if only janice were part of it... that would have been heaven on earth! i met bill graham a couple times - very cool guy. i used to go to his shows for free when i first moved to the bay area. i wish i could remember more of it, but i was stoned out of my gourd each time.

i don't know what year this is from. do you?

Given that Janice died in 1970, you know this cannot be any newer than that year. The Wolf died in 1976. And the poster appears to have a 1967 copyright in the upper right corner. My favorite Howlin' Wolf song is Smokestack Lightnin'.

but janis isn't on the bill - just the holding company, so i think it might be after janis died. not sure though....

i like smokestack lightnin' too. i also love the song 'evil' and 'moanin' at midnight'.

I can't help you ho2 on you question as I was stoned thru most of that era also. Don't remember seeing the cover but I don't remember a whole lot about that era either. Love the cover!
