Record Envelope

Record Envelope is a blog-turned-library for record collectors. Self-described by British artist Kavel Rafferty as “a reference for vinyl geeks and graphic artists,” Record Envelope focuses on the aesthetic, visual representation of music over the years. Hundreds of record sleeves, well-known and otherwise, have been cataloged and categorized, both alphabetically by label and more intuitively—circles, stripes, two-color, and animals, for example. Each blog entry features a high-resolution photo of a sleeve, along with insightful comments about it.
