    Hi,

today I bought some really interesting pieces at a local estate sale, but I'm not sure what they are........

This is a wooden carved bowl, no markings on it though as to who the maker is.
The person I bought it from didn't know age or history either; this was an inheritance piece.

Is this a Native American bowl?
If so, what tribe made it?

    Thanks for looking,

    Nessa

This is a 'guacal' - a gourd-like fruit which grows on a tree - probably from Central America - maybe southern Mexico. It should be identifiable as to which native people's made it by the designs.
