Chrome and galalith art deco bow brooch

I bought this bow brooch a couple of months ago. This is one of those jewels I m not sure about. Something screams art deco to me. But on the other hand it could be a tiny bit later also.
I bought it assuming the red part could be bakelite, but its not. So I guess its galalith.
Its a really simple design: just two pieces of galalith mounted together on a chrome background. It has a c-clasp thats really loose.
I have never worn it because I fear loosing it all the time.
So what do you think about it?
