This pin looks to me like a reproduction of an earlier pin. It has one large and two smaller black glass stones and is fairly large and heavy. The metal looks like brass to me. My best guess is that is might be from the 50's, but I am really clueless. There are nor markings.

This style was popular in the 70s. Sarah Coventry, for example, had a Lady Coventry line in around 1975 in a similar style (manufactured by Delizza and Esther if I'm not mistaken).
Very interesting. Now that you mention it, I can remember some photos from that time and, yes, the women had similar jewelry.

I was reading awhile back but the longer the pin coming out of the clasp the older it is not sure how much truth it is in that but I have seen nothing to tell me otherwise, very nice anyway still vintage.
