Work just decided to change the dress code to polo shirts and I'm trying to figure out if I can somehow dress it up and could use some suggestions on what would look good. I dug up a few simple chains and found this one marked 925 PT Italy. It kind of has more of a gold tone than silver and am hoping someone can tell me what kind of chain this is. So how to dress up a polo, does PT stand for platinum, and what kind of chain? Thanks guys for being such a help. I really do appreciate the VW community.
Sarah, I think PT means some sort of plating....onto Sterling Silver....very nice!! XO
I found a silver mark site. Could it be an Italian province mark for Pistoia?
Sarah, the initials could be the maker.....look at Italy and PT?
Thanks Lee:)
I would say that you have a gold wash over sterling silver. The pt is most likely the maker, manufacturer, or place. These 2-3 letter markings on "Italy" "china" "Thailand" are nearly impossible to actually ID.
hi I realise your post is a few months old however observing your photo's I note that on the 'fob' between the links is the Italian hallmark of PU and then a number usually followed by a star - the PT above that is separate PU IS YOUR REGION CODE hope this helps. Maybe PT is partly platinum on the links
Hey, thanks a lot Shirlgirl:)
Hi Sarahoff,
I found your bracelet while searching for information on a necklace chain that I just inherited. Like you, I thought it might be platinum but own a ton of .925 sterling silver, so I figured it was probably silver. My necklace is an exact match for your bracelet, down to the chain style and the odd rose color. I hope we can find out more about them!
