All I know about these tea cups is...
I thought they were pretty so I bought them (flea market) to decorate my dinning room with.
Honestly until spending the past few days on this site I never gave a thought to when and where they were made or by whom. I didn't even notice they were made in England until tonight.
This décor is almost like the Blue Danube dish set I have that is Vintage...XO
;-) that's great. Do you know anything about them?
Sorry, I just noticed you did name them.
This décor is my favourite in dishware...and pricey! They were either made in Japan or USA and Neiman Marcus or Nordstroms used to carry the line...stopped about 30 years ago...XO
The bottom of mine say England
Then yours might be Meissen...and that's wonderful!!! XO
Thanks xo :-D that makes me so happy.
I love having an eye for them just by their sheer beauty.
Meissen is German
I think Arthur Wood used an impressed mark on some of their pieces, and the base of the cup was too small, so the complete mark was on the matching saucer.
I think Moonstonelover meant Minton or Minton's but when they used an impressed mark I think it was usually their name.
