I can't believe someone threw this out in the trash! It's in beautiful condition - appears to never even have been read. the illustrations are incredible! great use of shadow and light in them. is this book worth anything?
Look to the illistrator's name for that answer.

There are 1000's of this edition for sale on the internet. Finding the price shouldn't be difficult. A first edition from 1883 would be worth a bit more I suspect.
its lovely the pictures of the Pirates with tattoos is wonderful :)
This edition of _Treasure Island_ with N. C. Wyeth's illustrations was first published in 1911, and in fine condition a copy of that 1911 edition is worth quite a lot. It was N. C. Wyeth's first major commission as an illustrator, and the title was the kickoff in an extremely popular series of Scribner's Illustrated Classics. This edition is dated 1923 -- early, but not a first. The fact that is in nice shape is a plus, but it is probably not worth a great deal.
Sorry, mis-read the date on the title page -- that should be "1933," not "1923"!
thank you aesthete. i had figured it out, but that is very helpful info.
Very Cool! Love it!
