This large knock down wardrobe sits in my master bedroom.
It is walnut but was refinished (about 30 years ago) and has an almost cherry colored appearance. It goes well with my cherry dresser and cherry cannon ball rope bed.
The wardrobe is known as a knock down due to its ease in disassembly. The large top and bottom are both wood pegged and the sides can be dropped easily as well.
The interior has an updated hanger bar, but it retains one interior drawer that shows hand dovetails. I use this wardrobe, so I won't post any interior shots!
Style wise, the rounded top is suggestive of American Empire. I would think that it is very late based on construction and probably dates from about 1860.

It's a very substantial piece scott. I think I like the top best, almost like its wrapped in crown molding. Glad you decided to post furniture photos.
Lots more where these came from!
I don't care for lies being posted. Some posters don't let their lack of knowledge or the facts get in the way of their speculation and regularly resort to making things up.

Thanks fluffy-- it looks much better than my pictures. The inside flash photo lightened up the actual color.
