My friend was given this old incomplete ww1 German gun.The bullets shown do not belong to this gun. The gun was water cooled and mounted on a bipod. The bullets were fed in by a cloth belt. The wooden stock and barrel are missing along with the internal parts.

Had 2 of these as a kid. 1 had a bipod & the other was mounted on a 4 leg "sled" mount. Took up too much space & gave them to the local museum.

The neighbours might complain, - if I left anybody to complain. Pellet gun has already taken care of the problem & looking for more targets. Luckily, This island is a "target enriched zone".

Hedgewalker, if you want me to call them "vases", then that's what they will be called! Bend a little and let me call them v-asses without the v.

Oh Ron, mine didn't have the toggle-bolt mechanism in them, but everything else. Guess that's the way they were allowed to be brought back as souvenirs after the "Great War". One had a bullet crease in the spring housing and one had a similar dent in the water jacket.
