Found in my dad's collection. This was a hotel in Florida, but not one mention anywhere of them selling cigars. Great shape for its age! Its as if this is the only one, and its my treasure.

Not surprising due to it being in Cigar Country. It is listed as a cigar friendly hotel, with multiple stocked humidors located throughout the hotel. Not to mention the Cigar and Gitar events it plays host to...

The hotel is still there and going strong. It is right here in St. Petersburg. It is a huge, huge bright pink building down on St. Pete beach. Here is a link to their website. I am sure they would provide information if you email them and include a picture.

I just looked at the history of the hotel, construction on it started in 1925 and it opened in 1928. The government seized it in 1942 and used it as a hospital during the war then it became offices for the Veterans Administration. It didn't open as a hotel again until 1973. They might well be interested in having this item. If you look at their site be sitting down when you look at their prices.

^Fhrjr2, I emailed...so hopefully they can help me with the history! I was researching last night and some even say the hotel is haunted lol. Who knows.....maybe they would want to buy it from me. That would be awesome!

If it is from the early days I suspect they would. Back then it was a playground for the rich and famous. They were on the beach and had the coliseum downtown where all the Jazz greats played. It was a swing town back then but now it is called heavens waiting room because of all us old folks sitting around waiting to die.

Yes, TubeAmp the originals that were imported from Havana were mostly black and white print on a sheet of paper that pretty much filled the top inside. I feel sure they probably got stuff from the factories here in town, Tampa and Miami and I am not familiar with those logos. This box came out of Tampa and as you suggest probably from the 70's. I would base that more on the hinges than the actual box or logo.
