I know very little about this cedar chest. My wife inherited it from her grandmother. I tried over the internet to find information on it. I believe it is from the early 20th century. I really like the sign inside. It is of a Patriot holding a chest (Klein Knickerbocker Products, Modernistic, and Kills Moths in big type). It also has a medallion. We used it as a sun seat in front of out bay window. We also store blankets in it. Does anybody have any information on this chest? Age? Who were the Klein Bros.

The Klein Bros were in business from 1910 until the middle of the depression. This is about 1929 period. Copper plated hinges. Dave

I also have a Klein Bros chest, it is a valued heirloom passed down to me by my Dad and it belonged to his Mom. I have had this cedar chest since I was in high school and treasure it. It is very well made and has been moved a number of times with me. Would love to know more about the makers of it. My grandmother lived in a number of places but much of her adult life in Queens Village, NY. Will post pics if I can figure out how!

I have 2 Klein Bros. Knickerbocker Cedar Chests that my uncle has had. The tops need to be stripped and refinished have a little water damage. Does anyone have any insight on these?
