I stopped at an estate sale of a doctor a few years back. All kinds of crazy looking antique medical stuff. Well I looked on a table and saw a couple of these eyes looking back at me. I quickly asked the woman in charge for a price. She pointed at a bag and said there are more. Well turns out to be around 50 eyes, the glass sign, and other little goodies in that bag. Again I inquired about the price. She said she needed a nickle each, and the sign was free. Each one has a serial number. I just love these, and keep one in my pocket at all times to freak out people.

Very cool, in a creepy kind of way. I had one of these when I was a kid, don't know where I got it, don't know where it finally went to. Nice pick at a nickel an eye I would have bought the whole bag too. Nice way of displaying them!

Thanks, half the fun of collecting is the stories , and meeting other people with the same interests.

A little ketchup and mustard and one of the eyes in the palm of your hand will freak out the Boss. Mine almost fainted. LOL. I have two that belonged to my Great Uncle Everett. He lost his eye in a fishing accident with a fish hook as a child. He had several eyes made in his lifetime as he grew up.
Very cool and interesting collection you have.

Been out in my lab building a horse drawn hearse, cause my wife said that I was not allowed to buy one. Spent most of the summer building to have it ready for Halloween. Otherwise, work, and out hunting for the good stuff. Thanks for missing me. Will be on here more since the garage has no heat.

Wouldn't fit here anywhere as its home built out of a old Amish buggy, that was stretched a foot after restoring the frame. Then I added new wheels, and built a hearse body, with flickering coach lights. Still have work to do to it. I might have it in the background on my next post.
